The racquets have been designed with carbon fiber and fiber glass and a foam core throughout the entire racquet, therefore creating a stable environment. What does that mean?
You will be able to handle the heavier balls. I can attest that because when I played heavy hitters all of a sudden I felt that the racket was doing more work for me.
Carbon Fiber is the strongest material and the lightest material that racquet makers can use, and it’s not the cheapest. That’s what planes are made of. This allows the Zus racquets to have more layers, helping the rackets last longer.
The foam core absorbs more of the impact of the balls and makes the racket more stable. So if you hit the ball off center it’s going to feel more like you hit in the sweet spot. When the racquet is more stable at impact than we can loosen up. When we loosen up, we actually get more power, our strokes get better, and it’s less likely we will get injured. Just think about the last time you played great, did you feel lose or did you feel tight? My guess is that you were loose!

The CUSTOM can be customized to a specific weight, balance, swing-weight, stiffness, head size, string pattern, length, grip size, frame color options, grommet color options, and grip color options.

The racquets have been designed by someone that played tennis and has a long history of customizing racquets. Have you ever hit with a racket and thought that the the head felt hollow? Because ZUS is filled with foam in the head and handle, when the ball impacts the racquet, it will feel like you can handle any ball.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN…
2021 I was minding my own business and on the court next to me was a junior playing with a racquet I’ve never seen before. I went up to his dad, Steve, and asked him about it.
He said, “I did that so he can loosen up and let the racquet do the work for him. Give me your favorite racquet and I’ll bring one back for you that you’ll love even more.”
I asked, “How much?” He replied, “First one is on me…” I was like what can I possibly lose here.
I gave him my Yonnex DR-98 that I loved the most. I had 2 but this one always felt better. At the time I didn’t know much about racquets.
THE VOLLEY JUST POPPED OFF THE RACKET!
I waited 3 weeks and finally got the new racquet. Steve handed me it, and said it was a company he was investing in, Zus Tennis, and they make custom rackets.
I was intrigued and played with the racket for the first time that week. I still remember hitting this volley that just popped of my racket. Even my opponent was like “What was that?…” I was intrigued. So I scheduled a call with the founder and designer Sven Goth to discuss the rackets.
THE GOAL IS TO HELP TENNIS PLAYERS
I SPOKE WITH THE DESIGNER AND FOUNDER SVEN GOTH…
and he explained to me that his goal with the racquets was to design a racket that helped players by using the best quality material.
He told me how he worked at Bosworth and customized rackets for the pors. how he played Agassi. How Pete Sampras could tell if the racquet was speced correctly just by picking it up. He told me how one time when they strung Selles racquet it broke cause she strung it so tight. He told me that during his tenure at Bosworth, they would customize rackets and then black them out.
Then they would invite recreational players and put the blacked out customized rackets next to their off the rack versions that were blacked out. In every case, the players always chose the customized rackets.
I SAW HOW THE RACquETS POSITIVELY IMPACTED MY CLIENTS
I loved the story of Zus, I loved their mission, and I loved the racquets. I told Sven that I would join the team. I bought a variety of demos and began to share the rackets with my clients at East Bank Club.
From 2021 to 2024 I put the racquets in players’ hands, and I started to see the impact they began having on players. The racquets were so stable that players began loosening up. My clients began hitting cleaner. I had clients who leveled up quickly. And even had one, Jen, who’s wrist problems went away. I became a believer in Zus Tennis .
In that short span of 2 and half years over 200 players converted to the Zus at the club.

ZUS PLAYERS RECENT RESULTS ON THE PRO TOUR.
Sem Verbeek and John Patrick Smith have been making waves in doubles.
Both Sem and J.P. use the CUSTOM 62ra 100 sq inch frames. Speced to their liking, both players recently had great success at the 2025 Australian Open. Sem made it to the semifinal in the Men’s Doubles division and J.P. Smith made it to the finals of the mixed doubles.
Sem Verbeek won the 2025 Wimbledon mixed doubles championship with Katerina Siniakova.
Sem has reached his highest ranking of 40 in men’s doubles and J.P. Smith is currently sitting at 50 in the world.
