Unlock Your Power Serve

Let me tell you a story…

Every match begins the same way: ball in your hand, eyes on the court, one motion away from setting the tone.

But here’s the truth I’ve seen over and over again: most players don’t trust their serve.

  • Some muscle it with just their arm until it breaks down under pressure.
  • Others play it safe, tossing in a “just get it in” serve that puts them on defense right away.
  • And almost everyone has felt that sinking frustration of a double fault at the worst possible time.

I get it — I’ve been there too.

What most players don’t realize is this: the serve isn’t about raw strength or luck. It’s about connection.

When I turned 35 my elbow started hurting when I served. I had never had this issue. Turns out when you get older, our muscles are just not the same.

And it kept getting worst.

I knew I had to do something different.

So I searched on the internet and asked my coaching friends.

Finally I discovered Dr. Mark Kovacs. He’s well known in the coaches circle.

He formerly directed the Sport Science, Strength & Conditioning and Coaching Education departments for the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

Over his career he has worked with more than two dozen top professional tennis players including John Isner, Sloane Stephens, Madison Keys, Robby Ginepri, as well as dozens of top professional athletes in the NBA, NFL and MLB, in addition to junior baseball players and golfers.

In one of his videos, he started talking about the Kinetic Chain and the Shoulder over Shoulder technique.

I had been taught the serve is like a throwing motion.

It made sense to me, I was over rotating and using my shoulder and arm too much.

When I was younger I was able to get away with it.

But with age kicking in, that wasn’t going to be the case.

So I put the 8 stage model to test.

At first it was weird to stay sideways for so long.

When I connected though, it was unreal. The power was effrotless and my arm stopped hurting.

I knew that this was the secret. So I started teaching it to all my students.

From 2.5 to my elite players.

The results where coming in and students where having a better time serving now.

The Secret Pros Know: The Kinetic Chain

Watch Federer, Serena, or Sinner serve — they’re not just swinging their arm. Their entire body is working in perfect sequence:

  • The legs load and launch.
  • The hips and core drive upward.
  • The shoulder and arm whip through like a slingshot.
  • The wrist and racket deliver the knockout.

That’s the kinetic chain — when every link works together, the serve feels effortless.

That’s why pros can hit 120 mph and still look relaxed.

And here’s the best part: you don’t need to be a pro athlete to tap into it.

Why I Built This Course

I’ve coached players who felt stuck with their serve for years. One small fix to how they used their body — and suddenly they added 10, 20, even 30% more power without trying harder. Their second serve stopped floating long. Their toss finally “made sense.” And they stepped up to the line with real confidence.

That’s why I built Serve Like a Pro. To give you the roadmap for unlocking your serve with the kinetic chain.

What You’ll Learn Inside

✅ How to build your serve from the ground up — legs to racket

✅ Drills that instantly connect the links of the kinetic chain

✅ A smooth, repeatable toss you can trust

✅ Power without tension — and spin without stress

✅ A second serve that holds up in a tiebreak

This isn’t just about serving better. It’s about starting every point on your terms.

Imagine This…

You step to the line. Instead of nerves, you feel calm. Your body knows the rhythm. The motion flows. The ball explodes off your strings — heavy, controlled, untouchable.

That’s not a dream. That’s what happens when your serve finally clicks.
